He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Jacobs and Rosa Jacobs (Zapf); his wife Julia McFadden; and his brother Lawrence Jacobs. He is survived by: his children, Susie Milligan (Ed) of Sterling, Sandy Dunn (Thomas) of Dixon, Sally Mendoza (Arthur) of Rock Falls, Sharry Marshall (Rick) of Rock Falls, Terry Jacobs (Michelle Kemmer) of Dixon, Ted Jacobs (Jill) of Rock Falls and Todd Jacobs (Colleen) of Dixon. He is also survived by many grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew Catholic Church or Serenity Hospice and Home.
