LaVetta Griffis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2025, at the age of 91, LaVetta Griffis of Rock Falls, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of LaVetta Griffis to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Herbert and Helen Celia Shere (Kellner); her son Randy; her grandson Jason Griffis; and her siblings, Donald Shere, LaVonne Dewey, Darlene Witt, Merle Shere and Marlo Shere.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Griffis (Karen), Bob Griffis (Suzy), Gail Gleisner (Perry), Sherrie Fuller (Carl) and Scott Griffis (Melissa); and her siblings, Joe Shere (Deb), Jerry Shere (Betsy), Mike Shere, Lorraine Dorsey and Beverly Graf. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew Catholic Church (708 10th Ave, Rock Falls, IL 61071). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be given in her memory to St. Andrew Catholic Church.
