Peg leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Peg’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Peg will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Lindgren and Cora "Bea" Lindgren (Tarbill); and her husband Ralph Romanelli. She is survived by: her children, Bryony Altamiano (Rafael) of West Chicago, Marisa Romanelli (Tor Janson) of Hillpoint, WI and Leah Romanelli DeJesus (Alex) of Lakewood, OH.; and her grandchildren, Javi DeJesus and Gracie Altamirano.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Grace Episcopal Church (707 1st Ave, Sterling, IL 61081). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peg's memory to Grace Episcopal Church, Sterling; the YWCA of Sterling; and CGH's Health Foundation, which funds their Dementia Support Group.
