It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Roger Young of Rock Falls, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 86, on November 18, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Roger may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Roger touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Young and Genevieve Young (Thompson). He is survived by: his wife Vickie Kerns; and his children, Laura Foster of Tampico and Mike Young of Devils Lake, ND. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (2005 Freeport Rd, Sterling, IL 61081). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial has been established to "22 a day" that supports Veterans and helps with suicide prevention or to Faith Baptist Church.
