He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Billings and Betty Billings (Hamilton); his wife Janie Billings of Rock Falls; his daughter Stacy Verdick (Gale) of Aurora; his granddaughters, Sara Benjamin (Adam), Jessica Colley (Justin) and Jenna Verdick; and his great grandchildren, Dean, Paige, Emme, Owen, Cole and Laney.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling.
