Bonnie Nelson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie Nelson (Rock Island, Illinois), born in DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on February 10, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gunnard T. Johnson and Violet L. Johnson (Hall). She is survived by: her husband Richard "Pete" Nelson; her children, Signe Nelson-Combs (Sterling) and Whitney Day (Dale); her sister Carla Vanatta (Ron) of Genoa, IL; and her brother-in-law Robert "Skip" Nelson (Lynne) of Towanda, IL.. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Bonaventure Indian Mission and School or Wounded Warriors Foundation.
