With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bruce A. Smith of Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on February 12, 2026 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Smith and Antoinette "Toni" Marie Smith (DePoorter); his wife Judith Smith; his former wife Julie Rowe; his brothers, Blair Smith and Stevie Smith; and his nephew Aaron Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Jenny Fisk (Eric) of Moline and Mark Smith (Jennifer) of Davenport; his grandchildren, Austin and Breann Smith; his siblings, Thomas Smith (Peggy) of Milan, Brian Smith (Missy) of Rock Island, Tracy Smith (Valerie) of Rock Island and Susan Vols (James) of Ankeny, Iowa; his sister-in-law Rhonda Smith of Milan; his nieces and nephews, Shawn Smith, Lyndee Smith, Erica Smith, Marty Matherly, Michael Matherly, Josh Smith, Lacy Kane, Kyle Vols and Kevin Vols; and his pet Paco.

Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Bruce's memory.
