Colette Schroeder Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Colette Schroeder (Rock Island, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 4, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo V. Mortell and Pauline K. Mortell (Campbell); her husband Donald Schroeder; her son Michael Schroeder; and her sister Kathleen Nelson (Dale).
She is survived by: her children, Tom Schroeder (Cathy), Anna Johnson, Ed Schroeder (Tammy), Pat Schroeder, John Schroeder (Tara), Kathleen Anderson (Matt) and Paul Schroeder (Annette). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many more loving family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (2502 29th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
Memorials may be made in Colette's name to Alleman Catholic High School.
