He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Franklin and Clara Franklin (McCree); and his sister Barbara Glassner. He is survived by: his children, Randall Franklin, Laurie Messmer and Kimberly Franklin; his grandchildren, Allen Cates, James Dunn, Amanda Dunn, Nathaniel Hauser and Nya Hauser; and his great grandchildren, Julian, Grayson, Lilly, Isabella, Emma and Lauren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
