She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence D. Ames and Martha V. Ames (Luckett); her husband Albert O. Calhoon; her daughter Cheryl; and her siblings, Junior, Billy, Marge and Thede.
She is survived by: her children, Sindy Norris and Angela Jones (Jim Ledbetter); her grandchildren, Lacie Mullins, Jade Cotton, Luke Davis, Samantha Copeland and Devon Stoltz; her great grandchildren, Layla, Leola, Archer, Tyger and Ryder; and her sisters, Eva Myrick and Perk Pearson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A prayer will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 5:45 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
