It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward C. Johnson Jr. of Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on October 17, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward C. Sr. Johnson and Laura Johnson (Fues). He is survived by: his wife Susan Scharer; his sons, Brian Johnson (Juan Mendoza) of Sioux Falls, SD and Kevin Johnson; his granddaughters, Ashley and Kaylee; his sister Beverly Johnson; and his great-niece Mariah Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

Memorials may be made in care of Church Of Peace, United Church of Christ, Rock Island.
