It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erma Joy Varner Miller of Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on May 14, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd D. Gill and Orpha L. Gill (Pollock); her former husband Wayne Miller; her husband Leonard Junior Varner; her close friend Richard "Dick" Donlin; her children, Lloyd David Varner, Gary Varner and Connie Guthrie; her granddaughter Holly Sue Graham; and her brothers, John, Leo, Don and Fred Gill.
She is survived by: her daughter Sondra Westmoreland; her son-in-law Kevin Guthrie; and her grandchildren, Derek Varner (Angi), Stacey Sersig, Jeanie Kirgan (Jake), Tony Westmoreland and Cassie Lacey (Jadeyn). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
