He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Jones and Eleanor Jones (Shearer); his siblings, Richard Jones Jr. and Judy Wise; and his grandson Jared Larson.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Taylor; his daughters, Jennifer Wiener (Paul) and Julie Larson (Jeff); his stepchildren, Kristi Magana (Michael) and Steven Garrison (Tina Tighe); his grandchildren, Nikki, Dalton, Alayna, Evan and Jordan; and his great grandchildren, Mylee, Konor, Michaela and Chloe.
Memorials may be made in Gary's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
