She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl John and Mary Freeman (Winders); her close friend Clifford Cordell; her sister-in-law Betty Freeman; her niece Peggy Freeman; and her nephew Thomas Freeman.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Golz (Greg) of Rock Island, Georgette Wells-Dacon (Dave Dacon) of Bettendorf, Marilyn King (Michael) of Murrieta and Darryl Johnson (Kelly) of Moline; her grandchildren, Nicholas Golz (Mallika), Paul Golz (Stacey), Anna Thomas, Cody Race (Andrea), Aaron Wells (Elane Edwards), Holly Johnson (Nick), Corey King (Vanessa), Chad Crotts (Kelsey), Chelsie Holke (Ben) and Chase Johnson; her brother Carl Freeman, Jr. of Silvis; and her former husband Dorance Johnson. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice in Helen's memory.
