He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward R. Allen and Pauline Allen; his brothers, Charles Allen and Richard Allen; his sister-in-law Bernadette Allen; and his son Donald Crafton.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Allen (Lessman); his children, Melody Minneci (Angelo), Herbert R Allen, Edward Allen and Linda Stancato (Tom); his grandchildren, Angelo Minneci (Shannon), Christopher Minneci, Michael Wankowski, Steven Wankowski (McKenna), Sara Wankowski, Katie Stancato, Amber Allen, Hayden Allen and Stephanie Crafton; and his nieces, Cheryl Brownell (Carl), Mary Morrison, Cara Allen and Carrie Cahill.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wendt Funeral Home (1811 15th St Pl, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rock Island National Cemetery (4205 30th St, Rock Island, IL 61201).
