With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Dugan of Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on December 3, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alcide Goulet and Ethel Goulet (Plymers); her husband James Dugan; her daughters, Patrisha Dugan and Valerie Merrill; and her grandson Bradley Dugan.
She is survived by: her children, James Dugan II, Terri Elliott, Edward Dugan (Karen), Patrick Dugan (Cathy), Sandra Guzzo (Joe), Brad Dugan (Dora) and Vicki Hamlett (David).
A rosary will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory - Rock Island (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mary's Catholic Church (2208 4th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in care of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
