He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Strickland and Jane Strickland (Wright); his siblings, Cynthia Strickland (Bill Damkohler), Celeste Strickland, Rebecca Weathersby (Kevin), Heather Strickland, Elaine Berger (Joe), Lisa Miller (Darrell), Dan Strickland (Myungeun), Eric Strickland and Peter Strickland; and his niece Mariah. He was also cherished by 14 nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to the Figge Art Museum, Davenport.
