He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Devlin and Dorothy Devlin (Krukow); his brothers, Tom and Joe; his granddaughter Elsie Swanson; and his great-nephew Justin Duex.

He is survived by: his wife Lisa Velez; his children, Nichole Velez of Rock Island, Ashley Velez-Hagler (James) of Dixon, IL, Adam Devlin (Angel Mills) of Moline and Taylor Swanson (Josh) of Lynn Center, IL; his grandchildren, Ava, Peyton, Olivia and Cameron; and his siblings, Daniel Devlin (Deb) of Bella Vista, AR, Dennis Devlin (Olivia) of Davenport, Marc Devlin (Therese) of Davenport, Deanna McFadden (Mark) of Davenport, Matt Devlin of Davenport, Jackie Shaw (Jeff) of Davenport and Jodi Ineichen (Joe) of Blue Grass.
