John A. Johnson Obituary
We announce the death of John A. Johnson of Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 74. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarion B. Johnson and Donna M. Johnson (Nelson). He is survived by: his wife Judith L. Hartwig; his daughters, Misty Sierens (Michael) of Milan, IL and Andrea Klopfenstein (Patrick) of Morton, IL; his grandchildren, Alexandria Sierens Getchell (Sean), Dayne, Emmitt and Trevor Klopfenstein; and his siblings, Gary Johnson (Aggie), Muscatine, Scott Johnson (Trish), Susan Tackabury and Gail Cavins (Kevin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
