He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ziegler and Rose Ziegler (Engels); his grandson Kyle; and his siblings, Edward, Anna, Rose Margaret, Pearl, Amelia, Catherine and Lillian.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Parsons (Richard) of Rock Island, Timothy Ziegler (Paula Zimmerman) of Rock Island, Larry Ziegler of Rock Island, Constance Vaughn (Paul) of Rock Island and Michael Ziegler (Laurie Danielson) of Rock Island. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; forty-three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island or to Alleman High School, Rock Island.
