He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Woodrow Ballard and Ruth Ballard (Workman); his daughters, Jewell Joyce (Jerry), Susan Hill (Dennis), Davenport, Kristine Novak (Steve), Shelley Proudfit and Bettendorf; his brother Larry Ballard (Sue); his brother-in-law Tony Rosa-Gastaldo (Judy); his grandchildren, Todd (Lisa), Eric Shurtz (Anne), Meagan Sweet (Alan), Davenport, Jack Hill and Jessica Eager; his wife Lillian; his daughter Pam Hanssen; and his son-in-law Rick Shurtz. He was also cherished by 7 great grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
