Melvyn D. Thomer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvyn D. Thomer of Rock Island, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on November 23, 2023 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melvyn D. Thomer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Thomer and Laura Thomer (Staelens); his wife Linda Boeken; his brother John Thomer; his brother-in-law Paul Swartz; and his in-laws, Carl and Nina Boeken.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Cox (Steve), Eileen DeWitte, Mellinda McManus (Tim), Dean Thomer (Stephanie) and Douglas Thomer (Lori); his sister Jackie Swartz; and his brother-in-law Larry Boeken (Carol). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Melvyn's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
