He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Hickman and Rosie Lee Hickman (McDuffy); his brothers, Clifton, George and Bobby Joe; and his daughter Charity Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Pearlie Hickman; his children, Crystal, Tiffany, Lakia Hickman, Mario Harris, Calvin and Raymond Henderson; his grandchildren, Jazmenn, Mariah, Preston, Davon, Tyyannah Orr, Daquan, Daja Hickman and Lyric Schmacht; and his siblings, Helen Chamberlin, Rosie Jean Earby, Rosetta Hickman, Demetra Hornesburger (Paul), Joyce Chamberlin, Wanda Faye Bates, Charles Hickman (Paula), Johnny Hickman (Doris) and Calvin Hickman (Joycelyn). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
