He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Esparza and Shirley Esparza (Rasmussen); his siblings, Sharon Ruhl, Wendy Michl and David Esparza; and his nephew Gary Dooley.

He is survived by : his siblings, Mick Esparza (Margaret), Janet Chapman (Dennis), Bettendorf, Tommy Esparza (Karen) and Trisha Long (Paul). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
