He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman Tischer and Dorothy Tischer (Bergren); his sister Patty Maynard; and his sister-in-law Sharon Smith. He is survived by : his wife Tina Simmons; his children, Joe Tischer, Katie Burbridge (Pat) and Mike Tischer; his stepchildren, Kaylynn Simmons, Lynsey Spriet (Cody) and Angie Simmons; and his siblings, Tom (Gail), Georgia and Maggie Lorentzen (Bill). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
