He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Whitcomb and Jeanne Hart Whitcomb; his former wife Lois Fay Williams; his sons, Cory and Michael Whitcomb; his grandson Chandler Furne; his brother Danny Jo Whitcomb; his mother-in-law MaryEllen Franks; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Hammond, Jeep Carns and Dave Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Whitcomb; his children, Denise Vasquez (Hector) of Rock Island, Bettendorf of Rock Island, Kyler Yodts of Rock Island and Abbigail Yodts of Rock Island; his grandsons, Corey Hultgren and Noah Vasquez; his great grandchild Ez Hultgren; his siblings, Denny Whitcomb (Jean), Jimmy Whitcomb (Regina), Jeff Whitcomb (Connie), Pam Hammond, Roxanne Carns, Milan, Karen Whitcomb (Ken Straman), Shelley Williams (Rob) and Brenda Whitcomb; his father-in-law Drexel Franks; and his siblings-in-law, Matt Franks (Jackie) and Sarah Rockwell (Steve).
Memorials may be made in care of the Wounded Warrior Project or to the family.
