Schalk Sr. of Rock Island, Illinois, born in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on March 17, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Schalk and Catherine Schalk; his wife Fern Schalk; his son Michael Schalk; and his siblings, Millie Forrester, Carlene Adams, Art Schalk, Joe Schalk and Frank Schalk.
He is survived by: his children, Dianne Schalk of Dewat Chaudhry, M. D. and Robert Schalk Jr. (Pam); his daughter-in-law Brenda Schalk; and his grandchildren, Benjamin Schalk, Amanda Schalk, Meghan Shafer (Viminda), Heather Whittaker (Mike), Eric Schalk, Brian Keller (Melissa) and T. Leo Keller (Stacey). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
