With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth M Kernan of Rock Island, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Adams and Mary Ann Adams (Chamales); her son Steven; and her siblings, John, Tom, Walter, Peter Adams, Robert Kendall, LuAnn Phillips and Bette Anderson.

She is survived by: her children, Patrick Kernan Jr. (Chun), Kathleen Kernan and Edward Kernan (Jackie); her grandchildren, Amanda Bautista (Habraham), Heather Shadden, Kelsey Kernan and Courtney Kernan; her great grandchildren, Shawn, Lucy, Caleb, Blake, Lila, Camila and Oliver; and her sister Janet Platt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the church.
