It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley VanDeMaele of Rock Island, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles VanDeMaele and Odile VanDeMaele (DeMeulemaere); and her siblings, Lawrence VanDeMaele, Lorraine Dobbels and Lauretta Marquardt.

She is survived by : her sister Elsie VanDeMaele of Moline; and her close friends, Judy Clark and Jeri Lauer. She is also survived by two nieces; two nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church in Rock Island, Kings Harvest Ministries of the Quad-Cities, Davenport, IA, or the Animal Aid Humane Society at 239 50th St., in Moline.
