William E. Tacey Obituary
The passing of William E. Tacey of Rock Island, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 16, 2025 at the age of 95. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tacey and Alma Tacey (Catour); his wife Carol Gonse; his daughters, Karen Hughes and Teresa Mary; his grandson Joshua Tacey; and his siblings, Shirley Bush, Joanne Panther, Jack Tacey and Vincent Tacey.
He is survived by: his children, Roxanne Tacey, Marcia Terwilliger (Paul), Dana Herman (Jeff) and Randy Tacey (Beth); his son-in-law Kevin Hughes; and his grandchildren, Cara Garcia (Gary), Amanda Alongi (Joe), Erin Hughes, Emily Hartwick (Bob), Adam Tacey (Jen), Matthew Terwilliger (Megan) and Julie Terwilliger. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Rafferty Funeral Home (2111 1st Street A a, Moline, IL 61265, USA). Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (2502 29th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
Memorials can be made to St. Pius Church or Alleman High School.
