He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred W. Cowan, Sr. and Marjorie C. Cowan. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Helland (Doug) of Marietta, GA and John Cowan (Marty) of Fort Collins, CO; and his grandchildren, Grace Helland, Clayton Cowan and Graham Cowan.
