It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annie Darnell Townsend of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Burnell Townsend and Lillie Townsend; and her siblings, Jeanette Townsend, Patricia Townsend, Barney Ray Townsend and Timothy Townsend.
She is survived by: her children, Darren Townsend (Felicia), Anthony Townsend, Schakura Townsend, Nicole Townsend, Unique Townsend and Miesha Townsend; and her siblings, Cheryl Townsend, Shawn Townsend, Johnnie Townsend, Robbie Townsend (Corita), Kenneth Townsend and Ronald Townsend. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; a host great grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends.
