It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Bremer of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barbara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil A. Glawe and Mary Josephine Glawe (Bain); her husband Russell Oscar Bremer; and her sister Beverly Wilson. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Jo Collins (Rich), Pam Gentner (Gus) and Patti Bremer; and her brother Jerry Glawe (Sharon). She is also survived by step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; cousins; and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations to Anam Care (8104 Sayer Road, Rockford, IL 61108) to support the renovation of their garden-a place of peace and comfort for residents and families.
