It is with sadness that the passing of Barbara Manson of Rockford, Illinois is shared. Barbara, born on September 30, 1932 in Metamora, Illinois, passed away on October 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Parnell Parker and Viola Parker; her husband Robert Manson; her daughter-in-law Jeannie Manson; and her sister Patricia Fleagle.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Patterson (Kevin), Michael Manson, Thomas Manson (Karen Drevs), John Manson (Molly), Timothy Manson and Paul Manson; her grandchildren, Jon, Bill (Julietta), Casey, Ryan and Mac; her great grandchild Olivia Manson; her sister Mary Jo Smith; Avi Samuels.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (428 N 2nd St, Rockford, IL 61107). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Mo Cara Hospice, 1740 South Bell School Rd, Unit D, Cherry Valley, IL 61016 or St. James Catholic Church, 428 N. 2nd St., Rockford, IL 61107.
