Bettie M. Colley Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on October 6, 2025, at the age of 73, Bettie M. Colley of Rockford, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Bettie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bettie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy Calvin and Bettie Calvin (Ray); her children, Dalahn Colley and Vernon Thomas Colley; the fathers of children, John Colley and Vernon Jones; and her grandson Kal.
She is survived by: her sons, John S. Colley and Jamal Calvin (Blanca); her siblings, Liddie Williams, Tommie Calvin and Anderson Hardman; and her pet Gizmo. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
