She was predeceased by: her father George Taylor; her husband Carl Mitchell; and her sons-in-law, Thomas Timmer, Michael Harris and Jim Cooper.

She is survived by: her mother Bernice Taylor; and her children, Terry Timmer, Toni Cooper, Michael Mitchell (Michele) and Traci Heckman (Kurt). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
