We are sad to announce that, on January 6, 2026, at the age of 93, Betty L. Rottman of Rockford, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Nelson and Inez Nelson (Erickson); her husbands, Bert Axelsson and Floyd Eckman; and her nephew Mark Appelgren.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Axelsson (Lauren Angelich) of Hartford and Cynthia Naumann of Oceanside, CA; her granddaughters, Christina Kelman (Josh), Jennifer Loper (TJ) and Brittany Collins (Doug); her great grandchildren, William, Sadie, Henry, Phoebe and Kai; her sister Waldine Ramlow (Ron); her nephews, Greg Appelgren (Jodi) and Kevin Appelgren (Amy); her brother-in-law Irvin Rottman of Caledonia, MN; and her stepchildren, Michael Eckman (Linda), Rita Blackstad and Richard Eckman. She is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Lutheran Church or the family.
