He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer "Pat" Piske and Doris Nelson (Stukel). He is survived by: his husband Andrew Joseph Cordell; his sister Janet Moutrey; his stepfather Gordon Nelson; and his nieces and nephews, Jason Burmester, Felecia Fallis, Chad Johnson, Kristy Smith (Carl), Jeremy Cordell (Mary), Josh Cordell (Kristen), Keri Epperson (Josh) and Beth Blackwell (Lee). He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Memorial Christenson Funeral Home (925 3rd Ave, Rockford, IL 61104).
