He is survived by: his wife Laurie Thomas; his children, Megan Thomas and Shannon Sr. Jordan (Mary); his grandchildren, Arystin, Arian, Shannon Jr. and Ace; his siblings, Dorothy Hawthorne (Charles), Shirley Adams, Ashia Triplett, Earl Jr. Thomas (Deidra) and Jamie Ellis; and his goddaughters, Montreonna and Miracle Thomas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Zion M. B. Church (404 N Avon St, Rockford, IL 61101). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (404 N Avon St, Rockford, IL 61101).
