He was predeceased by: his parents, King Wilson and Corine Wilson; and his siblings, Rose Wilson, Jean Braggs, Howard and Herbert Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Gulley; his sons, Ronnie Wilson and Rickey Wilson; and his brother Roosevelt Wilson (Stella). He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
