We announce the death of Cheri Lynn Kemp of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on July 26, 2026, at the age of 74. Cheri will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Edward and Verdelma May Lawrence (Jero); her daughter Arlis Newlin; her sister Polly; and her brother-in-law Ken Servin.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph; her children, Leon Burnett (Barb), Ed Kemp (Lisa), Jeremy Johnson, Tracy Servin-VanGermert (Les Martin), Daniel Newlin (Rhonda), Melissa Brewer (Billy) and Steven Lawson; and her siblings, Raema Meyer (Art), Rick Lawrence (Tina), Randy Lawrence and Curt Uynowicz. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends.
