She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Turman and Norma Turman; Fred Shelton. She is survived by: her son Brett Shelton; and her siblings, Gary Turman, Dale Turman and Gayle Winterland (Mike). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary in Rockford, IL, in Cheryl's memory.
