He was predeceased by: his parents, Freedolph Carlson and Viola Carlson (Hudson); his wife Sandra J. "Sandy" Carlson; and his sisters, Nancy and Donna.
He is survived by: his children, Darren Carlson (Shawn) and Shelly Westerberg (Ryan); his grandchildren, Anna, Aidan, Mason Westerberg, Gillian Gerard (Michael) and Lydia Carlson; his sister-in-law Carol Malmgren; and his nieces and nephews, Sue Altschwager, Jody Curtis, Carrie Kruzan and Brad Malmgren.
