It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Constance Hildegarde Peterson of Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on May 27, 2023, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Sapiega and Lucy Sapiega (Gottsacker); her husband Kenneth; her daughter Christine Akre (William); and her brother Allen Sapiega.
She is survived by: her children, James Peterson, Kathleen Lehman (Joe), Nathleen Rife, Therese Reed (Michael) and Jerome Peterson (Carolyn). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Corpus Christi Monastery of the Poor Clares, 2111 S. Main St., Rockford, IL 61102.
