He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius J. Edson, and Jeanette Edson, Sr. (Nelson). He is survived by: his wife Carol Probell; his daughters, Jaymie Batutis (Robert) and Jennifer Evans; his stepdaughter Kim Swanson; his grandson Michael Batutis (Carrie); his great grandchildren, Jack Clark, Hunter, Mason Batutis, Violet Vesely, Alara and Teddy Nauert; and his sister Gloria McKinney.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (3300 Rural St, Rockford, IL 61107). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Scandinavian Cemetery (1700 Rural St, Rockford, IL 61107).
