He was predeceased by: his parents, George Buss and Tina Buss Sr. (Tuin); his brothers, Dennis, Donnie, Darwin and Lonnie Buss; his brother-in-law Lee Hammel; his nephews, Jerry Hammel, Jason and Jeff Buss; and his niece Kim Buss.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Buss; his children, Christine Buss, Dan Buss (Michele) and Darrin Buss; his grandchildren, Kyle, Abby, Drake, Dillon and Bryan; his great grandchildren, Jayden and Elijah; his siblings, Sharon Hammel, George Buss Jr. (Jeanne), Lyle Buss (Debbie), Sharilyn Solberg (Ron), Marilyn Brockway (Gary), Staria Kester (Lee), Donnel Johnson (Dave) and Kathy Overend (Randy); and his sisters-in-law, Donna Buss, Ginny Starkson (Tom) and Carol Buss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dallas's name to Northern Illinois Hospice.
