He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Peppers and Elsie Peppers; and his brothers, Bob, Billy and Donald.

He is survived by: his siblings, Jerry Peppers (Lisa), Steve Peppers (Debbie), John Peppers, Vicky Ruggles (Mike), Cindy Nielsen (Carl) and Susie Elder (Jack); and his caregiver Sarah Lieb. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Collins & Stone Funeral Home (128 S 5th St, Rockford, IL 61104). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
