She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Skeates and Ethel Skeates; and her siblings, Diane and Bill. She is survived by: her husband Jim; her son Tim; her siblings-in-law, Ed Hanley (Diane), Karen Tynan (Dennis), Mary Ellen McCluskey (Patrick) and Susanne Monsen (Paul); and her nieces and nephews, Keri Robbins (Aaron), Kate Tynan, Kaya, Lyndsay Monsen, Chris (Melissa), Bryan (Kasie), Colin Hanley, Dennis and Kyle Tynan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Deb's favorite charity, Old Dog Haven in Oak Harbor, Washington, Noah's Ark in Rockford, or National Association for Down Syndrome.
