He was predeceased by: his parents, Booker Cox and Mary Cox. He is survived by: his daughter Erin Cox (Atticus Zavelle); his siblings, Maurice Cox, Denise Cox-Dean and Muriel Cox-Cook; his nephew Jordan Cox; and his friend Deary LaVern Lawson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. (200 N Johnston Ave, Rockford, IL 61101). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
