With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dixie G. Simons of Rockford, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on November 13, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Oskins and Viola Oskins (Penner); her husband Dewey Simons; her boyfriend James Stewart; and her son Raymond James Conklin.

She is survived by: her former husband Raymond Walter Conklin; her children, Dr. Jon Conklin (Denise), Cherie Morgan and Lisa Phillips; her grandchildren, Dr. Alissa Conklin (Miguel Bermeo), Chris, William Morgan, Aaron Klugger (Tracy), Matt Conklin (Courtney), Scott Conklin (Lauren), Kevin Conklin (Brittney) and Eric Conklin; and her daughter-in-law Renee Conklin. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
